Vice President, Programs and Advocacy
For Kimberly, the personal has always been political. From rummaging through her mother’s old political campaign buttons with slogans like “Kennedy for President” and “I like Ike” to running a successful campaign for ASB president, her first and only bid for elected office, it was instilled at an early age that one can and should make a difference. Kimberly currently serves as the Vice President of Programs and Advocacy for the American Lung Association in California and is responsible for the mission-related activities of the organization. She also represents the organization’s tobacco-related policy priorities before the California Legislature. Kimberly brings more than 17 years of community organizing and public policy experience working on campaigns to advance effective tobacco control policies at the local, state, national and international level. Kimberly joined the Lung Association in April 2005 as the Director of the Center for Tobacco Policy & Organizing and also held the position of Senior Director of Tobacco Policy. Prior to joining the Lung Association, Kimberly was on staff for five years as the Associate Director for Constituency Relations at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids headquartered in Washington, D.C.
