Each fall we host a statewide event called Local Legislative District Days. The goal of Local Legislative District Days is for Proposition 99 funded agencies and coalition members across the state to meet with your legislators and educate and inform them on the impact of tobacco in your community. These visits are an important step towards building a strong, ongoing relationship with your elected state officials.
How does District Days work, exactly?
District Days meetings are held in the district and are organized and scheduled by you and your coalition members. Each year we create Regional Coordination forms which list the other counties represented by your legislator so that you can coordinate with other folks in your district for scheduling and attending visits.
In addition, we will provide you with information and resources on scheduling and holding district meetings (including template materials and strategic advice).
Lastly, there will be a technical assistance call to prepare you and your coalition members to make the most of this opportunity.
To determine who your legislators are, visit FindYourRep.Legislature.ca.gov and enter your home address.

Just as a reminder, CTCP policy does not allow its contractors to utilize Prop 99 funds for lobbying purposes. These visits are purely educational.
